Mount Athos Treasures for the second time in Thessalonica ( 31.05.2006 )

 

On 28 May 2006, in the premises of ?????e?t???? ?st?a? in Thessalonica, the second exhibition was opened of the treasures of Mount Athos. The exhibits were escorted to Thessalonica by a twenty-member delegation of monks, lead by Fr. Paul Lauritis. The visitors will have the opportunity to see nearly ninety-two objects so far unknown to the public, icons and manuscripts from the Protaton, which is the oldest and most famous shrine on Athos.
